"All I've ever wanted to do was to create, either by drawing, writing or through music. Being a tattoo artist has allowed me to express myself in ways I didn't know that I could achieve. After ten years of tattooing, I've learned a lot. Tattooing has pushed the boundaries of my skills and has made me better at what I am and what I do."

Name: Nomi-Chi

Born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Vancouver, Nomi is a self-taught artist whose main focus is illustration. Having an interest in a variety of mediums, from canvas and paint to skin and ink, she intends to explore sculpture and other 3-D media in future projects.

Name: Kay Abbott

"I started tattooing in Vernon, BC in January 2009. I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and have always taken a special interest in fine line detail and realism. Naturally, when I started tattooing I wanted to specialize in those same areas. My favorite things to tattoo are portraits and wildlife. I have used many mediums in my time, but nothing compares to skin and ink. I LOVE tattooing and I look forward to always improving my ability."

Name: Sean Jones

"I started tattooing in Seattle, Washington and finished my apprenticeship in 1996. Afterwards I worked at a few different shops learning as much as I could until I eventually started my own private studio. I moved back to Vancouver in 2001 and have tattooed at several different studios since then. I focus on my own style of left-handed tattooing while trying not to dwell on any trends. Styles I like to work in include black and grey, Japanese and just about anything dark, evil or morbid. I am also a musician and have sung in several hardcore punk and extreme metal bands over the last 15 years. This has given me the opportunity to tattoo dozens of bands in Vancouver. I plan on tattooing for as long as I can, while continuing to create art through tattoos and music."

Name: Jayson Davidson

Al owned and operated an award winning tattoo studio for 15 years and has won awards in over 10 tattoo competitions.

Name: Nia Tucker

Nia has recently relocated to Vancouver from the UK. She has over 10 years experience in the aesthetics industry. Learning the art of cosmetic and medical tattooing was a natural progression in her career. After working as a beautician and holistic therapist for many years she wanted to use her artistic flair and aesthetic eye whilst still working closely with individual clients. This, combined with a passion for the art of tattooing was a perfect choice. She is patient and understanding and will put you at ease during your time with her.

Nia qualified as a practitioner with Finishing Touches UK in 2005 giving her 6 years experience working full time as a specialist. She decided that although she still enjoyed giving other treatments she wanted to specialise and concentrate all of her work energy into cosmetic and medical tattooing. This has given her a lot of experience in the 6 years she has been practising and she has a large and loyal client base in the UK who she thoroughly enjoys working with.

After qualifying with Finishing Touches Nia has gone on to gain more qualifications in cosmetic and medical tattooing (micropigmentation) and has attended various conferences, seminars and workshops. She feels it is really important to keep up to date with the latest equipment and techniques as well as meeting other practitioners for inspiration, knowledge, ideas and artistic perspective.
