My name is Stefan Rogenmoser and I was born in Switzerland on 12 February 1968. I immigrated to Canada in 1994 for a chance for a better future. I became a proud Canadian citizen in 1999. I then started my own business in 2003, which includes: industrial design, prototype development, custom jewellery, knife making, and extraordinary sculpting. I take pride in my work and only produce top quality craftsmanship, designing and creating art for the specific needs and desire of my clientele.

At an early age I have observed my father restore 300 to 400 year old furniture. When I was 10 years old I started assisting my father restoring furniture for some pocket money. He taught me how to use the various hand and power tools, which techniques I refined from project to project up to this day. My father deserves all the credits for teaching me to strive for perfection.

Sculpting is my passion and I love to express my views on life and society in statements such as my sculptures. Most sculptures are statements about environmental, political and social issues of our time and are of amazing detailed workmanship and quality. It is my pride and joy to know that these sculptures will be here for hundred’s of year to come, representing a Canadian artist. The materials are hard woods like maple, cherry, walnut and birch. In addition I use stainless steel, fibreglass, soapstone, limestone, silver, ivory, leather and any other materials that enhance the outcome of the product.

I believe my work will be a unique contribution to The Fall Artist's Gallery. I have put 30 years into sculpting and quality craftsmanship, and I am good at what I do and my heart and soul is put into everything I create. Sculpting not only provides me with a chance to express my view on the world, but it also gives me a chance to use my creative gift for designing and art.
